Getting Started
Aphilaty is built around anonymous access — no email or account required to get started on mobile.
- Download the app and open it. You'll be signed in anonymously right away.
- Go through the brief welcome screens to set a display name and accept the privacy terms.
- Your "My Family" group is created automatically — a private space just for your household.
- Secure your account (Settings → Secure Account) to add a recovery method if you ever switch devices.
Tip: Your identity is never sold or shared. The display name you choose is the only thing other members of your groups will see.

Joining Organizations
Orgs are the communities that share lists and offers with you — neighborhood groups, schools, local businesses, and more.
- Public orgs — tap the + button on Home and search by name. Join with one tap.
- Private orgs — you'll receive an invite link (QR or deep link) from the org's admin. Scan or tap to join.
- Browse your orgs from the Home tab — each card shows unread activity for that org.
- Leave an org at any time via Settings → My Orgs → [Org Name].
Tip: Your membership is private. Other members can see your display name but not your real identity or any other orgs you belong to.

Creating and Sharing Lists
Lists are the core of Aphilaty — collaborative shopping lists, need lists, task lists, and more.
- Create a list from the Lists tab (+ button) or from within an org's list view.
- Associate with an org to share the list with all org members automatically. Leave it personal to keep it private.
- Add items by tapping the + inside any list. Add a description, brand hint, quantity, or notes.
- Claim items — org members can tap an item to signal they'll bring it, preventing duplicate effort.
- Share a list via the share button — generates a link anyone can open in the app to view or join.
Tip: Use the Medication list archetype for household prescriptions — it sets up local reminder notifications and stays device-only (never uploaded to a server).

Understanding Offers
Offers are deals or availability notices posted by org admins — a store promoting a weekly special, a school announcing available supplies, etc.
- Browse offers in the Offers tab — filtered to orgs you belong to.
- Add to list — tap any offer and hit "Add to List" to drop the offered items into one of your lists.
- Tap the org name on any offer to see that org's full summary and other activity.
- Offers are always opt-in — you only see offers from orgs you've joined. No unsolicited advertising.
Tip: Notification preferences per org (Settings → Notifications) let you control how often you hear about offers from each community.

Privacy and Your Data
Privacy is a design principle at Aphilaty, not an afterthought.
- No email required — mobile users are fully anonymous by default.
- Your lists are yours — personal lists are never visible to orgs or other members.
- Your identity is context-limited — each org sees only the display name you chose; it cannot see your membership in other orgs.
- Data deletion — delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. All your data is removed.
- No behavioral tracking — we don't build ad profiles or sell data to third parties.
